Description
The Event Producer leads and manages all aspects of events, project teams and subcontracted vendors. Oversees the event development process, from initial proposal phase to onsite event implementation. Effectively manages internal event teams regarding design, production, and status. Fosters high level contact with new and existing clients.
Responsibilities
- Creates and manages all event budgets
- Maintains constant client contact
- Negotiates contracts with clients, venues and select vendors
- Manages client’s directives, goals and overall expectations
- Develops and manages event timelines
- Creates and updates Event Program and Technical Run of Show
- Directs Meeting Agendas and oversees Design Presentations
- Oversees and delegates responsibilities to designated Production Managers and Production Coordinators
- Miscellaneous: Site visits, tastings, guest list management, site flow analysis, transportation plans, concept development
- Assists with mentoring Senior Production Managers and Production Managers
- Oversees or directs event teams from installation through the event and break-down.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in event production
- Significant experience working with high profile clients, non-profit organizations and event production
- Confidence, poise, tact and diplomacy to develop and build strong relationships with senior level clients and foster partnerships
- Strong organization, communication and project/time management skills
- Supervisory, management and team leadership skills
- Ability to perform complex tasks and to prioritize multiple projects
- Demonstrates Class A brand standards in work quality and ability to provide superior service to our clients
- Business and financial acumen
- Ability to negotiate and resolve problems and conflicts
- Exceptional presentation skills with ability to lead or facilitate client/committee meetings and presentations
- Ability to travel (approximately 25%)
- Able to work overtime, nights and weekends
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Works on average 50 hours per week
- Works autonomously without supervision
