Boldfacers at Saks charity shopping event…
Party planner Bryan Rafanelli was among the pretty people at the kickoff of a charity shopping event hosted by Saks. The month-long event benefits the AIDS Action Committee, the Greater Food Bank, and Rosie’s Place. Guests included Barbara and Jonathan Lee, Tiffany and J.B. Dowd, Bill Emery, Susanne Hatje, Marilyn Riseman, Lisa Pierpont, and Dan Mathieu.

Even if the former president and his wife, the secretary of state, hadn’t imposed a news blackout, Rafanelli has been unavailable for weeks, engrossed in the details of a wedding that’s drawing interest around the world.
The former first daughter is expected to marry her investment banker beau, Marc Mezvinsky, in upstate New York on Saturday. The wedding, rumored to cost as much as $2 million, has cast a bright light on the 48-year-old Rafanelli, whose reputation for orchestrating sumptuous parties has won him high-profile admirers from Boston to Washington to Palm Beach.
The cult of Louis Vuitton turned out in full force – and dressed with equal strength, it must be said – for the company’s much-anticipated unveiling of its newly revamped retail store.
More than 500 guests attended the eighth annual Storybook Ball at the Park Plaza Castle. The event Saturday evening raised more than $2.5 million for the Mass-General Hospital for Children’s pediatric congenital heart program.
